Highland Capital Management Aids in Funding the Activities of the Presidential Center

Highland Capital Management announced an endowment gift of ten million dollars to the George W. Bush Presidential Center that will aid in sustaining the public programs offered. Highland will be sponsoring a series to bring newsmakers, thought leaders and authors to the center for discussions and lectures during the year. There has been more than five million dollars contributed to the Bush Center by Highland Capital Management, among Founding Benefactors, since 2010 that aided funding the facilities development. The Center opened in 2013. Engage series events during the year will be sponsored by Highland through the endowment. February 5th is the first special program that will be a collaboration between the Center and the National Constitution Center. There is no charge for admission but registering can be done online. The Engagement Serious has been a regular event since 2015 and sells out. The programs have featured people such as Lorne Michaels the creator of Saturday Night Live, Bill Browder a Russia corruption fighter and Christopher Jackson former cast member of Hamilton. There have also been programs for special exhibits in the museum at Bush Center that have included paintings from post 9/11 veterans that belong to President Bush.
