Here's the front and back covers of the book.
DogMan's Book
Since 2001, DogMan has written weekly columns for PacificWaveRider.com and other web sites. He's also written pieces for submission to magazines and newspapers. Along with all the words, thousands of pictures have been snapped, edited, retouched, and used to illustrate the various columns. All of this is intended to share the stoke of surfing, in Surf City North, and around the world.
So it's a natural next step to gather some of the best chronicles from those years, and edit them into a hardcover book. And that's just what DogMan has now published, the first book version of The DogMan's Chronicles. You can see a preview of the book, and order one for yourself

The Book
There's a preview link on the book's page that will show you the first 16 pages of the book in pdf format. Here's a bit more about the book itself:
-
8 by 10 inches, hardbound with dust cover.
-
Semi-matte paper stock.
-
80 pages, over 150 photographs.
-
13 chapters representing 13 different DogMan Chronicles from over the years and around the world.
The Day After Christmas. Many photos of epic large waves.
The Photography
The book's paper stock is perfect for showing the full color photos of surfing. Nearly all photos are by DogMan, a few guest photographers contributed pictures. Some photos have not been published before; see them for the first time! There are two photos that are printed in dual full page, like the centerfold pictures in your favorite surf magazine. While the photography emphasizes wave riding, there are also shots of locations and people from the various locations and topics.
Two-page full spread photos too!
The Columns
If you are a faithful Chronicles reader on Pacificwaverider.com, some of the columns in the book may be familiar to you. But there are sure to be columns in the book that you will read here for the first time. A common email request to DogMan is for access to archives of the Chronicles. PacificWaveRider doesn't lend itself to this purpose, but the book is a treasure box of some of the best columns from over the years. Another request to DogMan is for copies of photos. While you can always email DogMan for photos, the book is one of the most cost effective ways to obtain a collection of DogMan pix for yourself.
Some non-wave pictures for contrast.
